Let's Take It Back... Way Back: SMASHPROOF - MTC presents... Tales Of The Southside Vol.1:

I uploaded this a while back, but the link must've expired. We constantly get asked for this mixtape, so here it is again...

Tales Of the Southside Vol.1 was our very first release, pre-dating Juse's album Gobal Casino, so i'm guessing that this dropped in mid-2005. Tales Of The Southside is hosted by Akon and featured the boys hood classic "Liquor".

Lot's of cats knocked us for not using a DJ to put this mixtape together when it initially dropped, but i think it's fair to say that this tape became a hood classic regardless. Vol.2 was never put into production because we signed Ethical soon after and he's not from the Southside, so we launched our Speed Of Sound series instead.

Here it is again in all of it's glory. Humble beginnings folks! Enjoy.

SIR T - 'Ready For Whatever" feat. Young Sid [Video]:

Debuting a brand new video on New Years Day has become somewhat of a tradition now at MTC.

Two years ago we debuted Smashproof's "Brother", and last year we unveiled Young Sid's "Made".

This time around we are very proud to present the debut single/video from Sir T - "Ready For Whatever" featuring Young Sid. Most of you are already aware of Sir T due to all of the heavy lifting he did in 2010 with his Get Ready mixtape, contributions to Young Sids and Derty Sesh's projects as well as featuring prominently on the Speed Of Sound 5 mixtape.

This track is taken from Sir T's forthcoming debut release Walk With Me, and is produced by Twice As Nice.

Video directed by the talented Stjohn Milgrew.

Enjoy!
